The grey-painted hull colour chosen by Stephenson Clarke Ltd. for their first venture into deep sea tramping with the delivery of CLEVELAND was a notable move away from the traditional black-painted hulls of the company's colliers.
Looking very smart while moored off the Commissioners Quay on Thursday August 16th, 1962, she has presumably spent some time in dry dock on the river.
Her details are of course recorded on the Tees Built Ships database
