Brocklebanks took delivery of her from Wm. Hamilton & Co. Ltd., Port Glasgow, in 1945
Upon her sale in 1970 to Embajarda Cia Nav., Greece, she was renamed MAGDA for her voyage to Kaohsiung for demolition
On 4th May 1965, while she was unloading cargo from Calcutta in the Royal Edward Dock, Avonmouth, her forward moorings carried away during a severe squall. A bollard pulled out of the quay and she was blown across the dock where she collided with the German vessel FAIRWAY.
With discharging completed MAGDAPUR sailed for the Tyne, arriving on may 9th, as seen here
