Aegir entering the river early this afternoon. A catch-up with Kevin and introduction to Norman Baker offset an unseasonably chilly breeze whilst waiting. I probably would not have set the alarm for a 6:00 arrival!

I'll post Kevin's photos, but I'll spare you mine. I was on the end of the Groyne in the "unseasonably chilly breeze".
I decided not to go to the North side today as I thought the sun would be a problem. Shouldn't have worried.
I looked over to the pilot jetty but couldn't see anyone I recognised. "Should have gone to . . . . . . "

I gather she departed early this morning. Anyone suggest why such a short stay?

Actually she is not far away just 10 mile off the Tyne since she left either at anchor or being help by DPS, I heard she will decommission as a pipe layer and become/remain a heavy lift crane barge, her exiting large crane already lifts 4000 ton
