ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT outwards from Newcastle 17/07/1993 after a visit of the Tall Ships.
Apparently she was built as the lightship RESERVE SONDERBURG by AG Weser at Bremen in 1906 and after she was retired in 1986 she was converted into a 3 masted barque and renamed ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT. She was retired from this role and converted into a hotel in 2014.
