Dock gate cleared. Sheerlegs MATADOR lifted the gate and MARILYN M & JAN LEENHEER moved the gate to one side. There was chat on the airways apparently about then lifting the gate onto the quayside but MATADOR didn't have the height for that so when I left the gate was going to be left in the river fastened next to one of the other old drydocks that have now been filled in.

Don't know when Graham's photos were taken but I got there just after lunch and seeing the 3 x En Avants there I thought they were going to float out one of the structures. EN AVANT 10 also seemed to have hold and was giving the first one some pull. I stayed a while and couldn't see any movement out of the dock so thought I would call back later after a quick trip through to Sunderland to see HMS OCEAN. When I came back at about 4pm the tugs had gone and the dock was still full. So what that exercise was all about "who knows"

Hi Graham, you must have one of these new fangled bend backwards lenses to get that shot from the north side.

And then there were 3 of them 21/07/2017.
The dock gate is open and two of the structures have been moved downriver to Riverside Quay.
That is MULTRASALVOR 3 inside the dock.

Are these designed as floating turbines similar to the one towed out from Norway this week?
