Solvent Explorer, built at Lauenburg as Essberger Pilot in 1974, heading downriver on 20 July 1980.

Fate: Equasis: Total Loss (since 25/02/2022)
MN 5/22 was struck by two projectiles while moored in Black Sea in position 46.22.13N, 031.07.06E on 25/02/2022. A fire broke out and the vessel is badly damaged. The crew were rescued by tugs and taken ashore to Chernomorsk, Ukraine but two have serious injuries.

Think she was managed by Souter's as SOLVENT EXPLORER
Essberger's have just celebrated their 100th anniversary with the delivery of the 3rd and 4th in a four ship order from China
Still in the Essberger family, John T.'s two grandsons run the business now
