Nice one Km. My mother was called LEDA and she was Italian so no idea what it means in Norwegian although Bergen Line ships were named after astral gods and galaxies I believe.

Leda was the daughter of Thestius and she was seduced by Zeus in the form of a Swan so perhaps we should have had LEDA and ZEUS instead of LEDA and VENUS. :)

Sailing on 8 September 1974. Alongside at Smiths in the first picture is one of the early Rover class tankers during replacement of the original Ruston & Hornsby AO diesels with Pielsticks.
