I have never perceived that her or MAGELLAN have ever been British ships ... certainly not by flag!

Ahhh but when have the facts stood in the way of a good story...

It then goes on to use the word "Linked" to the UK.

"An investigation by the BBC's File on 4 programme found at least 13 other ships, mostly cargo ships, linked to the UK had arrived at the scrapping beaches of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh since the start of 2020."

My comments do not in any way condone the methods used by Shipbreakers in India, which I agree, do put workers at great risk.

Like when Jack Charlton was looking for players who qualified to play for Ireland through grandparents it was an urban myth that if their grannie could make an Irish stew they were in

From what I gather the Germans are the leaders in what is a bending or side swipe of the E.U. Rules in regards to ship scrapping by selling their vessels 'for further trading' only to end up on these Beaches for scrapping on their first trip for the 'new' Owners.
A bit like many years ago when you could buy two way radios without a Ham Licence as long as the shop owner wrote on the receipt 'For Export or Spares Only' knowing full well that the end use was neither.

I agree N.E. I wish the Police would get a grip of this practice when they are fitted to vehicles, it is against the Law and used by some to avoid prosecution. ANPR started as a Military system used first in Northern Ireland.
