When the P&O Group entered the tanker trade they formed a company to manage all of the groups tankers which was given the name Trident Tankers Ltd.
QUEDA was the first of a group four 12,898grt vessels ordered by the company, she was constructed by Scotts Shipbuilding & Eng., at Greenock in 1959.
After ten years she was sold and renamed SAINT MICHAEL. Bearing this new name and with the Trident symbol on her funnel freshly painted out she is here making a rather smoky exit from the Tyne, in the charge of her new owners.
1971 renamed 9 de Octubre
1974 converted to transport liquid gas
1981 demolished

I presume the 'first 4' were QUEDA, QUILOA and the larger ELLENGA, ELLORA all British India vessels of course under the Trident management but I think there was some delay between their completion and the start of Trident as they had BI funnels to start.
Some details for QUILOA here
