However considering how this one is moored when she's working she aint goin nowhere.....

Incidentally what are they going to do to her now she'd in?? Or have I missed that bit

I spoke to the pilot on Friday and he said she was in for at least six months maybe 9 months so it's not a quick fix.

I also heard 'a rumour' that Blohm and Voss Hamburg could not do the work in time and thats why she is here, maybe we will learn in time.

It was also noticed when I passed she has been moored up the quay so they can outload the new 'jacket' also under construction so which will sail first :D

Does anyone know which vessels are doing the tow from Boskalis? I think they intend to do the tow in September,

Hi Jack

The Producer was towed by bow tug Odin Viking with Boskalis tug Smit Angola aft, together with Union Boxer and Union Fighter as escorts.

I spoke to the pilot on Odin Viking when she was later alongside Northumbrian quay and he said she was a bugger to tow as she has no Rudder, infact she has no nothing!

She's down to move to Northumbrian Quay tomorrow. It all starts at 5 am so get your thermos and cheese sarnies ready, Dennis. At the minute she's down to sail out of the Tyne on Thursday. Normand Atlantic, President Hubert, Normand Progress and Normand Neptun are tugs involved.

She might pass over me as I drive through the tunnel - I should be in the office in time to see her arrive at Northumbrian Quay. (I'd probably take a hip flask in addition to a thermos!)

In the hazy spring sunshine at Northumbrian Quay this morning. In terms of deadweight, the largest vessel ever to berth at North Shields?
