Late 1950's, United Steamship Company breasting off the quay at Newcastle for another load of bacon and butter from Copenghagen.

BERGENHUS: 1398gt, completed by A/S Helsingors Jernskibs-og Maskinbyggeri, Elsinore, and delivered 30.11.1922 to DFDS, Denmark. Rebuilt between 24.7.1944 and 30.5.1945; 30.9.1961 sold for demolition which commenced 8.1.1962 at Bruges.

Information from WSS publication DFDS 1866-1991. This tells us that from 1946 until 1958 her service was Denmark to London/Hull/Grimsby/Newcastle/Leith/Middlesbrough
