This Victory ship visited Newcastle inthe early 1970's if I remember rightly and was followed by another a few weeks later, USS DUTTON. They would have been the last Victory ships in the Tyne I reckon. Happy Days.

1945, 7606grt by Oregon SB, Portland (1256) as SOUTH BEND VICTORY to 1957
Broken up 10/1988.
Naval pennant was T-AGS-21
