Completed in 1942 as A.TH.JOHNASSON by Helsingborgs Varfs for Swedish owners Rederi A/B A.Th. Johnasson of Raa
1950 sold to Rederi A/B Mercurius of Stockholm, renamed HELOIS
1959 sold to Ab Baltic Lloyd Line of Helsinki, renamed OTAVA
1967 sold for £35,000 to Italian owners Palomba & D'Amato of Torre del Greco, renamed MADDALENA
1970 Sold to Nello Patella & C of Chioggia, renamed GENEROSO
After changes to her registered ownership in 1975/75, retaining her name, she finally arrived at Brindisi for demolition in October 1975

The site of a Classic Baltic-type steamer at Dunston staithes was gradually becoming less and less as their ranks thinned out in the 1960's. Typical of these ships built mainly for short-sea trades OTAVA boasts a generous amount of woodwork around her wheelhouse as she sits in the basin on 16th June 1962
