Just looking at this photo again and what immediately struck me is why Albert wouldn't have waited the few moments to catch the whole of SIR DAVID II as she sailed past. What were the circumstances that made him take that shot? Then I looked at the river in front of SIR DAVID and I saw what appeared to signs of a wake. And then finally the most obvious fact of all, why would she be leaving the river in ballast and without tugs?

In fact Albert had probably just missed the shot and she was moving up river.
