Not Blyth Lifeboat, Dave, but "A Lifeboat at Blyth"

She is the SIR JAMES KNOTT.

A 37ft Oakley Class self-righter built by Grove and Guttridge, Cowes in 1964.
ON 975 later bearing the number 37-08
The cost of £33,000 was covered by the "Sir James Knott Trust" and RNLI General Funds.
Weight 12 tons 14 cwt.
Twin 52 hp Parsons Porbeagle 4-cyl engines.

Cullercoats. 21st November 1963 to 4th May 1969. (15 Launches/14 Saved.)
Relief. May 1969 to November 1972. (5 Launches/4 Saved.)
Redcar. 28th November 1972 to 13th July 1985. (78 Launches/63 Saved.)
relief. 1985 to May 1989. (28 Launces/0 Saved.)
Sold 1990 for display purposes only at Kirkleatham Old Hall Museum, Redcar.

Judging by the dress of the crew, plus a few hangers on I would suggest this was early in her life, when she was stationed at Cullercoats.
Paul Hood. + WSS Tyneside Branch Hon Sec.

Thanks Paul. She is certainly a NEM lifeboat anyway and a busy one at that.
