The RNLB VOLUNTEER SPIRIT (17-27) Severn Class relief lifeboat leaving Hartlepool Marina on August 3rd, 2010. She came into service in 2001.

Number 27 of 46.
Hull/Cabin by Green Marine and Fit out by Souter Shipyard in 2001.
Fund-raising by Branches and Guilds during RNLI's 175th Anniversary.
Official Number 1254.
Cost approx £1,800,000.
Twin 1200bhp Caterpillers. (As Built)

Relief from 8th May 2001.
