The RNLB LIFETIME CARE (12-11) is a Mersey class lifeboat. She was part of the relief fleet between 1989-2012 and is presently stationed at Leverburgh. She is photographed here in Hartlepool in December 2012.

The cost of Lifetime Care was provided by a Promotion by "The Volvo Concessionaires Limited".

Although she bears the number 12-11 she was in fact the 4th Mersey to be completed and was built by Green Marine and W A Souter in 1988.

She was also an experimental boat, in that she was the First Mersey to be built with a Fibre Reinforced Composite Hull instead of the original Aluminium. She was given a hard first year being run on and off Dungeness Beach 243 times and being dragged for almost a mile over the shinge. This represented 20 years of launching and the hull passed with flying colours.
