SONNING on the Trent

If you ever venture as far as Newark on a ship-spotting trip (and not many do!), do look for the wonderful old SONNING which offers short trips from alogside Newark Castle and running through the Town Lock and a few miles upstream.
Here she is today, passing the preserved dumb barge LEICESTER TRADER.
Built in 1902 for the Thames fleet of Salter, and believed converted from steam to diesel around 1954.
She has been at Newark since 1980.
